Tom Odell has admitted that he won’t ever be a showy stage performer and joked that his songs are for followers “to cry to”.
The Ivor Novello-winning singer, identified for piano ballads reminiscent of One other Love and Actual Love, has been off the radar since November, when he completed his world tour.
On the Royal Academy of Arts opening celebration, the place he carried out, he stated: “I’ve completed the third album and will probably be out very, very quickly. It’s extra songs to cry to! I’m actually pleased with the work, I feel it’s my greatest ever.”
The singer is from Chichester, however stated the album is “all very London — written in London, recorded in London. London seems like my residence.
“I moved right here after I was 19 and I’m 27 now.”
Odell added: “I feel I’m the worst pop star on the planet. I’m not an excellent dancer for a begin — I don’t have the arrogance for that aspect of issues.”
He was the primary leisure for the RA’s celebration to mark its 25th anniversary and the opening of its new campus.
