Miranda star Sarah Hadland to seem in Dance Nation at Almeida Theatre (News)


Miranda star Sarah Hadland, Karla Crome and Brendan Cowell have been introduced to seem within the UK premiere of Dance Nation on the Almeida Theatre.

Clare Barron’s new play involves the theatre from August 27 – October 6, recent from an award-winning New York run off-Broadway.

Dance Nation, directed by Bijan Sheibani with choreography from Aline David, follows a military of American pre-teen aggressive dancers, able to take over the world. Will probably be the theatre’s subsequent main present following Machinal, which is presently operating till July 21.

The Almeida describes the play as “a ferocious exploration of youth, ambition and self-discovery”.

The total solid consists of Sarah Hadland (The Method of the World), Brendan Cowell (Yerma), Nancy Crane (Almeida’s Summer time and Smoke), Karla Crome (Amadeus), Miranda Foster (Hamlet on the Globe), Ria Zmitrowicz (Gundog), Kayla Meikle (A Midsummer Night time’s Dream), Irfan Shamji (One for Sorrow) and Manjinder Virk (Our bodies).

Barron’s earlier work consists of the Obie Award profitable You Bought Older, I’ll By no means Love Once more and Child Screams Miracle.

Dance Nation will run on the Almeida Theatre from August 27-October 6, almeida.co.uk
