Could 16 () — Federal prosecutors charged a Florida man Tuesday for threatening to bomb a mosque.
Dustin Allen Hughes, 26, of Cutler Bay, Fla., is charged with willfully making a bomb menace by phone and faces 10 years in jail if convicted.
In line with prosecutors, Hughes known as the Jamaet Ul Muttaqueen Mosque in Pembroke Pines, Fla. on Could 5 and left a threatening voicemail message.
“I planted a bomb in your temple, I am gonna blow your [expletive] temple up you [expletive] Muslim,” Hughes is accused of claiming. “The place you guys have your sanctuary and worship Allah, I am gonna blow that mom [expletive] up.”
Hughes allegedly stated he had a distant machine he’ll use to detonate the bomb.
“You guys are all gonna be up in flames after I am accomplished with you!” Hughes is accused of claiming within the voicemail.
Prosecutors say Hughes left three extra voicemails with related threats over the subsequent few days.
On Tuesday, federal brokers arrested Hughes at his house.
